Emergency Medical District

Serving Deercreek, Monroe, Oak Run, Paint, Somerford and Union Townships in Madison County, Ohio.

Station 281 houses three ambulances, an EMS Battalion Car and a off-road Gator capable of hauling patients.
The Madison County Emergency Medical District uses air partners with MedFlight and CareFlight to get the highest quality care to our residents quickly.
The Madison County Emergency Medical District provides education programs to area children throughout the year.

The Madison County Emergency Medical District provides emergency medical services, as well as safety and prevention educations programs for the residents of our district.

Our service area encompasses more than 227 square miles, providing coverage to Deercreek, Monroe, Oak Run, Paint, Somerford, and Union Townships.

Chief Brian Bennington oversees a department consisting of a Medical Director, Fiscal Clerk, 3 lieutenants, 12 full time paramedics/EMTs, and part-time personnel. The District is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by their respective townships.

The EMS District is served by two strategically located stations:

Station 281 – 91 State Route 56 in Somerford Township, Ohio
Station 282 – 6670 State Route 38 in Newport (Paint Township), Ohio
